The US PGA Tour Playoffs didn’t go well for Rickie Fowler. Now he is expecting a solid come back at the BMW Championship. Fowler, the former number one amateur golfer, registered his first win at the PGA Tour this May when bagged the Wells Fargo Championship. He continued his good form and shared the second spot at The Players Championship. Then he went on to tie for the fifth place at the Crowne Plaza Invitational.
But soon after that the magical touch seemed to have left Rickie Fowler. He suffered at the Playoffs also. He tied for the 24th spot at the Barclays recently where he recorded a one-under par score. Then at the Deutsche Bank Championship he performed even in a worse manner and managed to tie for the 74th place only. There he registered a seven-over par score.
But Fowler is hopeful about his come back when he starts his journey at the BMW Championship.
He says that he needs to score some good points to get to the Tour Championship and then he will be looking forward to win the FedEx Cup. While talking about his exclusion from the Ryder Cup team he asserted that he was not even thinking of getting the chance as his recent performance was below average. He is happy with the team selection of US skipper Davis Love and hopes his team will do well as all the players who got selected are in form.
Rickie Fowler’s main aim now is the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He is concentrating hard on that and wishes to win it. He says he is happy with the way he is striking the ball and it is a matter of time to get back to his form. In recent future he will try to skip the silly mistakes that have been causing trouble to him.
